Mercedes' entry-level vehicle is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine that produces 188 hp and 221 pound-feet of torque. But a more powerful AMG variant — the A 35 — went on sale this spring. The engine is AMG-enhanced, producing 302 hp and 295 pound-feet of torque.
