Observers suspect that the top job at BMW is cursed. Seemingly without exception a failed CEO always follows a successful one. Bernd Pischetsrieder followed Eberhard von Kuenheim, Helmut Panke bowed out after Joachim Milberg and now Harald Krueger is departing after Norbert Reithofer.
