The new crossover shares its platform with the popular Hyundai Kona subcompact crossover, but has not been confirmed for sale in the U.S. The Seltos is built in Korea and India. U.S. journalists taken to Korea to drive the crossover compared it favorably with the Kona. The Seltos would slot just below the Niro (which only comes as a hybrid, plug-in or EV) in Kia?s lineup. Given the Niro?s weak sales relative to the Kona, the Seltos seems like a compelling product for the U.S.
