STAGE:Volvo XC100There is some discussion of Polestar introducing a performance sedan. But it's unclear whether that project has been greenlighted.
STAGE:Polestar performance sedanA replacement for BMW's first battery-electric car is not planned. U.S. sales of the i3 began in 2014. The automaker sold 4,905 copies last year.
STAGE:BMW i3The coupe, based on the Volvo Concept Coupe, is clad in carbon fiber. The advanced material reduces bodyweight and improves torsional rigidity by 45 percent, the automaker said. The carbon fiber also made it possible to create crisper lines and sharper creases. The 2020 Polestar 1 uses a double electric rear axle to enable torque vectoring and is powered by a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbocharged and supercharged engine. The PHEV has a 93-mile electric-only range.
STAGE:Polestar Polestar 1Like the Tundra on which it’s based, Toyota’s three-row, body-on-frame large SUV is long in the tooth and in desperate need of an overhaul, which will arrive in 2022, when it is to be redesigned onto the F1 platform.
STAGE:Toyota SequoiaThe coupe and its convertible counterpart will be the first all-electric models from the brand when they debut in 2022.

Still, there’s a slim chance the fate of the Edge could change following contract negotiations with the Canadian labor union Unifor.

STAGE:Chevrolet CorvetteThe full-size pickup jettisoned its diesel variant and received a freshening this year. The 2020 Titan received crossover-quality safety features and technology along with a utility-grade powertrain. Under the hood, the model has a tweaked 5.6-liter V-8 engine that delivers 400 hp. Nissan gave the Titan XD more frills and horsepower and a new transmission as the company attempts to spur more demand for its largest pickup.
The long-term future of the nameplate, however, is unclear due to its inability to compete against the segment’s U.S.-badged leaders. In the first half of this year, the Titan captured just a 1.2 percent share of the full-size segment.
STAGE:Nissan TitanDespite a freshening last year, sales of the luxury compact sport sedan have been abysmal — just 780 were sold in the second quarter, down 31 percent compared with the same period a year earlier. It's unlikely Jaguar will spend any more money on the XE trying to compete with the BMW 3 Series. Future plans for the XE are reported to be in flux.
